Acceptance
By using treeloppersnewcastle.com.au, submitting an enquiry through it or calling a number published on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
What this service is
This is a referral website operated under the name Tree Removal Newcastle. It connects property owners in Newcastle and the Hunter with independent tree contractors.
The site operator does not carry out tree work. Quoting, scheduling, performing and invoicing the work are all done by the contractor. Any contract for tree work is formed between you and that contractor, and not with the operator of this website.
Quotes and bookings
An enquiry is a request, not a booking. Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance, and no work is confirmed until a contractor has quoted you and you have accepted that quote directly with them.
Prices, ranges and examples published anywhere on this site, including on the cost guide, are indicative only. They are drawn from what the business has previously published, they are not an offer, and they do not bind any contractor. Your quote is the only price that applies to your job.
Your obligations
When you use this site you agree to give accurate information about yourself and the property, to have the authority to request work at that address, and not to submit another person's details without their consent.
You are responsible for obtaining any council approval required before protected trees are removed or significantly pruned. That responsibility sits with the property owner, not with the site operator and generally not with the contractor. See the council rules page for how the approval question works across the Hunter councils.
You also agree not to misuse the site: no attempts to interfere with its operation, no automated scraping, no use of it for any unlawful purpose.
Verifying your contractor
The site operator does not inspect, verify or vouch for any contractor's licensing, insurance, accreditation, qualifications, workmanship or conduct. Before allowing work to start you should ask the contractor for evidence of current public liability insurance and workers compensation cover, and for the qualifications of the person supervising the work.
Content on this site
Information published here about tree species, site conditions, storm behaviour, council rules and pricing is general in nature. It is not an arboricultural assessment of your tree and it is not legal advice. Council policies change, and the only authoritative source for your address is the relevant council.
The text, layout and images on this site are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission. Trade marks appearing on the site remain the property of their owners.
Third-party links
The site may link to third-party websites, including councils, the NSW Rural Fire Service, Ausgrid and the NSW SES. Those sites are not controlled by the operator and no responsibility is taken for their content or availability. A link is not an endorsement.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of this website is not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from your use of the site, from any referral made through it, or from any act or omission of a contractor.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where liability can be limited rather than excluded, it is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
Privacy
Personal information submitted through this site is handled as set out in the privacy policy. Additional limitations on the information published here are set out in the disclaimer.
Changes and termination
These terms may be updated at any time and the current version is the one published on this page. Access to the site may be suspended or withdrawn without notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
